Is any one experiencing problems with the long awaited Korg Zero 4 & 8 Mixers,
I now about a few bugs and as of yet Korg is not talking about when a software update would be available.
Shame Shame Same on you Korg.
Zero mixers driver updates very badly needed .
For whatever reason Korg to my knowledge is not saying anything about if very badly needed Zero mixer updates would ever be available.
That's just the way it is with some companies, unfortunately Korg with the Zero line mixers just happen to be one of them.
I am aware of lots of people who purchased other mixers (Korg is loosing money) because of the way Korg is treating us costumers about the issues on the Zero mixers.
Although I have the Zero 8 mixer ,I will wait a few more months before I decide to sell my Zero 8 mixer for lack of support ( NO UPDATES ) or information from Korg about fixes for the Zero 8 & Zero 4 mixer lines.
The only way your one vote will count is at the store when you purchase another mixer other than the Korg Zero line mixers and letting everyone that you can possibly tell, from word of mouth, the Internet top DJ forums, and get that information out about the Korg Zero line mixers and how they don't help us or give us any information about possible future fixes.
Also some Internet stores like Sweetwater.com will not let you print a truthful revue about product they are trying to sell so don't waste your time there.
Although this mixer is set up to be a midi controller as well as a sound card through firewire. It seems to fall short on a few feature that it' should not have. The headphone cueing as issue, needing to have two channels dedicated to one PC output in order to use it.In other words, if you are running a PC program such as Traktor or Ableton Live, you would need to dedicate the use of four (4) channels in order to get the proper stereo headphone cueing. One channel would be for midi control operation (Input Selector) set { Audio + Midi } the other set to {Midi}the (Audio + Midi ) channel would be for headphone cueing with four more midi control nob's added from your cueing channel.(That is the proper setup from Korg )Audio always come trough master try to reroute from the software is inoperable. Also while we are on the midi issue, the din midi input and out put for the MTC midi clocking device is not working properly, if you need an accurate BPM count from Midi, for remixing projects you will encounter many problems. ( Shame on Korg, a keyboard company to mess up on this one )''Who would figure?''When I talked to a Korg representative, I was told that this problem is being sent to Japan, I would hope and guess that means that the midi issue should be resolved in a software update. Korg is not letting us know about when or if this would be implemented. If you would Goggle the phrase (Problem with Korg Zero 8 + 4 mixers) you would get plenty of hits on forums complaining about various short comings on this long awaited mixer with more detailed information.
I almost forgot, how do you store your effect settings? Korg forgot about that also. Over all, I believe that if Korg would supply fixes in a software update, I believe that the Korg Zero line mixer would be one of the best mixers today. Peace & blessings.
